WV - Jimmy Jingles (MCR) Furgus aka Jimmy Jingles Furgus joined our family in December of last year, a rescue from Pocahontas, West Virginia. Furgus shares our homes in Huntersville, North Carolina, and central New York, traveling to the east coast with us regularly via a car during an 11-to-12-hour drive. When we first brought Furgus home, he joyfully jumped between the loveseat and couch, letting us love on him for hours. We are convinced he is part Ninja, as he is constantly jumping out at us from behind couches, curtains, and doorways. He does yoga with me, pulling himself along the underside of the bed on his back…stinking adorable. Furgus came just at the right time for us, as we lost our beloved Maine coon Chewy a month later. Furgus softened the blow of that loss with his loving and playful nature. He has a true Maine coon personality and is a beautiful boy. If you don’t believe us, just check out the 2023 Maine coon Rescue calendar, where Furgus will be one of the twelve cats featured. We cannot encourage you enough to help Maine coon Rescue by giving them a gift to help secure these wonderful cats a loving home. Susan, Richard, and Furgus
WV - Gabriel fka Geoffrey (MCR) Gabriel was adopted on May 6th, 2022. That is the day I picked him up. Gabriel is a wonderful boy! Playful, and sweet. A wonderful companion to Ares (who I also adopted from you. His name was Whitey). Both Ares and Gabriel are very bonded and are best friends to each other and myself. Gabe and Ares literally play all day with breaks for some food and nap time. Gabriel is currently getting used to a harness so he can go for walks with Ares and I outside. Gabriel has grown into a very handsome adult. I adopted him when he was 6 months old and now, he is over 1 year and weighs 10 lbs. They both eat healthy quality food with no kibble in their diet. Thanks for bringing him into our lives.
WV - Honey (MCR) Bailey (Honey) came into our lives at four months of age. She had been sick but was doing better and eating well. Took her to our vet the day after we picked her up from her foster mom and Bailey got a thumbs-up. She had zero problems adjusting to her new home and siblings (five other cats). She played happily with her toys and was running and jumping like a normal, healthy, happy kitten. Bailey has brought such joy to our lives. She is the friendliest cat and just loves giving kisses to everyone she meets. No strangers to her. Bailey is 14 months today and barely fits in her cat trees. I guess Santa will have to bring her a larger one. We can’t imagine life without her. We are grateful to Maine Coon Rescue for finding our girl and selecting our family to be her forever one. Thank you.
WV - Kate (MCR) Foster fail times two! I knew I was in trouble the minute I brought 4 beautiful outgoing kittens home! They were bold, friendly, playful, and fun! But it was the cuddles that truly won me over. They played hard but loved harder! When it came time for them to be available for adoption my heart was heavy. The very first person was interested in BOTH boys, and was a perfect match! Fortunately for me, their new parent stays in contact and I get to see how they are thriving. With the two boys adopted, the two girls now have the run of the house. They love the dog and have started sleeping in bed with us. I worried constantly about someone being interested in adopting them, and decided to keep them! So now I have two little permanent black silky alarm clocks – Pippa and Kate! Every morning around 6 am I get lots of cuddles and purrs – what a great way to start each day. Their energy and curiosity consistently bring a smile to my face! Pippa is fearless and does not shy away from anyone or anything. Kate is very poised and has the cutest little head tilt she does when you talk to her. We end the day like we start it – with purrs and cuddles! They have been wonderful additions to our family!
