About Maine Coon Rescue 

Maine Coon Rescue is a nationwide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing Maine Coon and Maine Coon mix cats. We are a network of passionate volunteers united by one shared love—our beloved Maine Coons. Our goal is to ensure that every cat we help is placed in a carefully screened, forever home where they will spend the rest of their life loved, safe, and spoiled as they deserve.

We don’t have to tell you why Maine Coons are so wonderful or why you can’t imagine your life without one in your home. Their gentle personalities, intelligence, loyalty, and playful nature have made them one of the most popular cat breeds in America. But with that popularity also comes a heartbreaking downside—animal shelters across the country are filled with Maine Coons and Maine Coon mixes who need help finding homes.

Our rescue is funded entirely through the generosity of cat lovers. Donations, adoption fees, and fundraising efforts allow us to provide veterinary care, food, transportation, and other essential services for the cats in our care. Every dollar is used thoughtfully and responsibly to help as many Maine Coon and Maine Coon mix cats and kittens as possible.

Maine Coon Rescue is committed to saving abused, abandoned, and homeless Maine Coon and Maine Coon mix cats and placing them into permanent homes or foster homes where they will receive the care and stability they need. We also work closely with animal shelters and other rescue organizations across the country to assist with placement and improve outcomes for Maine Coon and Maine Coon mix cats in their care.
