This form is to be filled out at the direction of Maine Coon Rescue. If you are looking to rehome your cat, please start by submitting a Request To Place Application. *Please know without a Request to Place Application your Owner Release Form may not be acknowledged.*

I do hereby release ownership of my cat to Maine Coon Rescue (MCR).

I do understand that upon giving my cat to Maine Coon Rescue, MCR becomes the sole owner of the cat. I will not make any attempt to reclaim the cat. I fully grant MCR the right to give my cat any medical treatment deemed necessary, and to possibly place the cat in a good adoptive home. Should a veterinarian determine my cat is too ill to be treated, if necessary, I give Maine Coon Rescue the right to put the cat humanely to sleep. I release Maine Coon Rescue from all liability concerning said cat. MCR will make every attempt to provide adequate care and find a permanent home for my cat.
