WV - Charlotte (MCR)
WV - Charlotte (MCR)

We got off to a pretty rough start - Charlotte had been passed around multiple times - we were her sixth placement! She didn’t know which end was up so her behaviors were erratic and disturbing.

It took time, lots of patience, gentle care, a regular schedule, and ready food to help her feel safe and secure and settle into her new life and acceptable kitty behavior. Maine Coon Rescue was with us every step of the way.

In addition to being a pretty girl, Charlotte is the life of our little household - she has far more presence than her slight 8 lbs would suggest. We call her our “yacketty-cat” as she’s very social … she announces her arrival in a room, actually holds conversations with her ‘peeps’ and follows us around with a running commentary. Our family room is strewn with her toys - she carries them around, hides them then brings them back out. She lets us know when it’s time to go to bed and when to get up in the morning.
She’s loving, goofy, rambunctious, and sweet and has helped salve the pain of the loss of her predecessor - another Maine Coon Rescue girl. We’re committed to the Maine Coon Rescue program as they have filled our home with furry love for many years - in a caring, professional and humane way.

PS - she loves our screened porch!
