Snowman is one big lump of sweetness!!!! He is long-furred and stark-white, with startling emerald eyes. He weighs 12 lbs, and is now FULLY VETTED. He is approximately one year old, and will be even bigger in time...his bone structure is solid!! When he was vetted, and later given a bath at his foster home, he was as gentle as a little lamb. He gets along great with other cats in his temporary digs, and he appreciates a good massage and lap session!!!! In fact, he ignores toys completely, and just wants to cuddle and snuggle. He is going to be someone's new best friend, because he craves a human's touch. ! He also has the classic Maine Coon "chirp"!
 
Snowman was first noticed this summer, trying to "fly below the radar" in a managed colony of feral cats i.e. trapped/neutered/released/fed daily. This big beautiful boy surely didn't deserve to be dumped in such a sordid environment!!! Living amidst trash, weather extremes, and the constant threat of raccoons, foxes, coyotes, and human hooligans....he kept his cool (like a good Snowman!), and stayed healthy and out of trouble. To the colony caretakers, it was obvious he was tame, docile, and needed a REAL HOME. On the day of his rescue, he had fresh bite wounds and facial scratches, so Maine Coon Rescue intervened in the nick of time!
 
Snowman is now safe, and being fostered in Proctorville, Ohio (near Huntington, WV).  He can be transported to other states by our volunteers.
