THE FOLLOWING CAT IS BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME. Up for adoption we have a tail!! That's right! This cat's tail is bigger than she is! It's so bushy it needs its own area code! Phoenix came to us through a shelter. They were thinking of making her a barn cat as they had no rescues step up to agree to bring her in. She was having some litter box issues and they were unsure what to do. So they spayed her and cropped one of her beautiful ears. I hope it doesn't detract from her beauty. She is a lovebug inside and out!
Initially, we were told she wasn't using the litter box properly. She has used it perfectly with me. Not one accident at all! She's had bloodwork done twice to rule out any medical issues. They thought maybe she had a UTI that was left untreated, so they gave her meds to clear up any remaining infection she may have. She had been such a lady with her bathroom habits. Currently, she has the option of using a litter robot or a large litter box. I use Tidy Cats and Fresh Step. She doesn't seem to have a preference. I also use Catalyst Litter in one box. It's like sawdust and does really well with odors. I use a large tote that's about 5 or 6 inches high as a litter box for these large cats. It's like a tote you store things under the bed in. I like to give my fosters options. I'd for sure provide her with at least two boxes in your home.
She doesn't seem to have a preference of food. She loves wet food for sure! I've given a few different brands of wet food and she's eaten every one. She is eating Iams indoor dry food.
Beautiful Phoenix is ready to snuggle her way into your home and heart. This cat is truly an angel. She's quiet and peaceful. She's playful and sweet. She's awesome with other cats too. I have not dog tested her, but I think as long as she is with a dog that doesn't chase her, she will be great. Just make sure you do slow introductions until you see how she will do.
If you are within 5 hours of Mount Lookout WV and are willing to meet me halfway, there will be no transport fee assessed. Otherwise, an $85.00 transport fee will be applied.
Phoenix's adoption is $375.00. This includes spay/neuter, FCRCP Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine, Combo Test (Neg/Neg), dewormer, flea prevention, microchip, and wellness exam.
