THE FOLLOWING CATS ARE BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME.

Available to adopters within 100 miles of Baltimore:

It's Baby Slimer! Maggie, once difficult to contain in ringworm-quarantine, was nicknamed "Slimer the Climber." Unlike her nickname, this kitty is irresistibly cute-- and she has a personality to match! Maybe its her darling, kitten-face, or her tiny, high-pitched "mew" greetings? She is sweet, cuddly and checks in throughout the day to see if you are available to give her pets. She curls up in the crook of an elbow or on a lap, dozing off with a gentle, contented smile on her face.

But don't let her adorable doe-eyes and bashful expression fool you: she is high-energy and plays just as hard as the next kitten! She is particularly fond of jumping and executing mid-air acrobatics. When little Slimer takes a liking to a certain toy, she walks around with it in her mouth (probably to make sure her brother doesn't take it) and has even initiated games of fetch!

Slimer was curious about a visiting [considerate and quiet] 4-year-old; after a few minutes and several kitty-treats, the two played together. Baby Slime is an absolute darling and has a promising future as a cheerful, affectionate family member.

Slimer's mom taught her that hissing and hiding is the best way to deal with people and other animals. She had a rough start in life and as a result, she can be scared of new situations and easily frightened by surprising sounds or movements. Adopters should bear in mind that these cats will likely require patience and slow introductions before they can be themselves. Homes with small/active/loud children are NOT ideal. As with all kittens, playing will go a long way to building their confidence. Because she is so young and active, her ideal home will have at least one other young, energetic cat, preferably a sibling. It took Lil' Slimey a couple of weeks to stop hissing at our resident cats; she is still skittish and does not engage with them.

Other notes about Slimer: she is bothered by heat more than other cats.
