Hershey is a 2 yr old black Maine coon mix girl. This cat was placed as a 3 month kitten through my rescue, Just One Generation, She was spayed and UTD on all vet care at that time. Her new owner is a middle-age woman who was diagnosed with advanced cancer several months prior. Hershey and her companion cat were kept in a darkened spare bedroom for several months when the woman was no longer able to provide their care. She surrendered them to me several weeks ago when she was hospitalized with medical complications of her disease. Initially, Hershey was frightened and withdrawn, but she is now showing a strong desire for interaction and attention. She loves petting and allows me to hold and stroke her. She would make a wonderful companion animal. After initial adjustment to her new environment, she has been loving and looking for attention and interaction. Former owner with advanced medical disease. Hershey is a large , beautiful cat who needs someone who understands and appreciates the Maine Coon bloodline. She seems fine with the other cats in my shelter building and has no fear of my large breed dog. She would be ok with older kids, but I have no experience with her around young ones.
DOB (approx): 2 yr old. Available for Adoption: NOW !
