CARSON is a gentle giant who unfortunately tested FIV positive. FIV Positive Cat Information He is an ambassador cat who welcomes new fosters without hesitation; the kittens adore him! He loves to be petted and welcomes brushing. Carson is not lively but is keenly interested in everything that goes on. CARSON has a steady personality and never seems to be bothered by anything. He is healthy with excellent litter box habits. It will take a big lap to accommodate him but he will be a great companion cat for the lucky family who adopts him! Because CARSON is FIV positive he requires a home that will keep him safe from the possibility of infections from outside the home. His home must have no cats that go outside nor should he go to a home that even occasionally brings in other cats such as fostering or petsitting unless the incoming cat is healthy, vaccinated and kept separate from CARSON for a bit of time. He requires no medication and will do well on a good quality kibble and perhaps occasional wet food. His diet should be carefully monitored as he is a bit overweight right now. He is eligible for adoption within a 200-mile radius of zip code 25177.
