Miracle is a 4 yr old brown tabby and white Maine coon mix girl who literally has a white butterfly on one of her shoulders.  Miracle is very social. She follows me around and eats when I eat. She does not like to be picked up, but, will jump up into my lap, roll over and want her belly rubbed. She likes to have her neck scratched. I can brush her when she is on my lap, but, will run if I try to brush her if she is on the floor. I agreed to take Miracle when she was 6 mos old from a friend whose daughter turned out to be allergic to her. My friend told me that Miracle was the sole survivor of her litter. She was born in an auto repair garage and her mother had been run over and the rest of the litter froze. My friend told me that Miracle was 4 months old, but, the vet said that she was 6 mos. old when I got her. I had Miracle spayed right away, immunized and tested for Feluk. She was feluk negative. Since I got her, Miracle has wanted to go outside. We finally relented, treated her with Revolution and let her go outside; however, when she returned, she was covered in deer ticks (the deer roam around our yard regularly because we live in the country). I am allergic to antibiotics and if I got lyme disease, it would be difficult for me to recover. So, she as been an indoor cat.

Miracle has allergies, we think, to chicken. We feed her canned tuna mixed with prescription rabbit meat from Chewy.com. I have been unable to find any cat food at the grocery store that does not have chicken in it. She is coming off a course of prednisone now and will have her rabies shot update.

She is used to a quiet house,(only my husband and me) but, is friendly with kids who are gentle. She has never been around dogs and seems territorial whenever a cat approaches our slider window. She howls and hisses. I think that she could get used to another cat if it was younger than her or a dog.
