UPDATED BIOGRAPHY:
Like the rest of us, Muffin (formerly Orion) has had a difficult year, partially due to the pandemic. He and sibling, Lyra/Finti, now need a new home due to the changed circumstances of their adoptive family. Everything about him is the same as when he was a tiny kitten--loving disposition, fluffy ruff, and big paws--though now, it all comes in a much larger package. At just over two years old, Mr. Muffin weighs over 12 pounds! He is making a good transition into foster care: seeks affection from the humans, and is growing more comfortable around the other feline residents without hostility (mostly). He is one of those rarities among cats, one that actually seems to enjoy being picked up and cuddled--a quality to cherish! Muffin knows his name and answers when called. Muffin/Orion is up to date on immunizations and received a clean bill of health at his last veterinary exam in May, 2021. He was in great need of grooming, and we have been working on that gradually. Fortunately, he seems to enjoy the attention and touching. Muffin and sibling (Lyra/Finti) MUST be adopted together. Muffin and Finti are located in Dublin, Ohio (see contact information below).
KITTEN BIO : Behold Orion, the mighty hunter! This big guy, however, mostly “hunts” his catnip toys and siblings! Orion embodies everything we love about Maine Coons: fluffy ruff and tail, big paws, and ESPECIALLY a sweet and loving disposition--he loves to snuggle! Pick him up and he melts into a purring ball of fluff. Orion and his sibling, Lyra, were surrendered, as ferals, to a Trap, Alter, and Release Program, and came within a whisker of being released to fend for themselves (shudder!) Happily, Maine Coon Rescue was alerted and brought the siblings to the safety of a loving foster home. Orion is bonded to his sibling, Lyra, and will do best adopted together as a pair. Could these siblings become the “stars” of your home and family?
