Maine Coon Rescue cannot guarantee the parentage or breed of cats on this site. It was a scary start for two foster babies. Beau and Belle had been written off from the shelter they were in as feral…unadoptable. But one volunteer saw beauty and potential and reached out to MCR. Within two minutes of landing in the foster room I had my hands on both of them, and they were purring. And terrified. Time and patience, safety and love. That’s what they needed. It took about six weeks for them to feel truly comfortable, but now they’re out in the house exploring. Belle came out first, and promptly hid under the sofa. A few days later Beau was out, taking over the cat tree in the living room. The foster room is only for dinner time now…and we love dinner time. Beau is interested in rump rubs which is his favorite part of the petting process. And he'd love a cat tree in front of a window. Not a lap cat here, but there’s a lot of competition. They both have sweet dispositions, so it’s only a matter of time. Beau is a beautiful 6yo orange boy, hence his name. He and Belle were turned into the shelter from the same household and are used to each other. But while they would love to go together they are not really bonded. If you’d love to give one or both of these beautiful, shy darlings a home they are available. If you have any questions, contact catzzmeow@yahoo.com.
