Maine Coon Rescue cannot guarantee the parentage or breed of cats on this site. It was a scary start for two foster babies. Belle and Beau had been written off from the shelter they were in as feral…unadoptable. But one volunteer saw beauty and potential and reached out to MCR. Within two minutes of landing in the foster room I had my hands on both of them, and they were purring. And terrified. Time and patience, safety and love. That’s what they needed. It took about six weeks for them to feel truly comfortable, but now they’re out in the house exploring. Belle came out first, and promptly hid under the sofa. Not anymore! Belle absolutely loves attention. She has a special bed that to her means “pet me until you drop” space. She’d love a cat tree in front of a window or a cat condo in the corner. And since her brother was adopted, Belle has become a true lap cat! Belle is a gorgeous 5yo dilute tortie. She is truly beautiful, hence her name. If you’d love to give her a home she is available.
