THE FOLLOWING CAT IS BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME. Apple is a beautiful, young, tortoise shell Maine Coon mix. She has huge, light green striking eyes that draw you in. Apple is young cat that has had some type of traumatic history. She was extremely shy and guarded in her early foster days. She recently had a breakthrough and is now participating in family activities and playing with the family cats.
Apple does wonderfully one on one and purrs so loud her whole body will shake. She enjoys being picked up and held close. Someone willing to hold her in a baby carrier might further help her with her anxiety. She enjoys having her ears scratched, her chin stroked, and being spoken to softly and sweely. She would be the perfect cat for a small home with a person or people that could be with her during the day. She is very intelligent, meows when she is in need of water or food, and recently has begun meowing for affection.
When scared, Apple prefers to be in a corner, behind a curtain, or in a safe space close to the ground. She is a very sweet cat with no signs of aggression but passive anxiety. She needs a home willing to work with her, to assist her with overcoming her past trauma. Most of all, she needs someone willing to love her and show her not all humans are scary.
