About AZ - Squirt (CP)

  • Housetrained: Yes

Squirt is chatty, loves to talk and loves to come in for pets and cuddles. He is a big charmer and easy to fall in love with. He steals hearts. Squirt is probably grieving since he lost my Grandpa and shortly thereafter my Grandma had to move without him due to Alzheimer's. He quickly fell in love with his new family and when their baby was allergic, lost them too and with as big a heart as he has, will need extra TLC to feel loved and secure. He slept on the bed with my Grandma but is sleeping under the bed of his current foster. Clean bill of health and up to date on shots, and we can provide that from his vet. Since he is 12 or 13, hoping to find parents that will be able to afford to care for him if he needs it as he ages. He loved the baby, and would lick her head but I advise against kids because he has stress peed when my Aunt & family (3 young boys) moved in with my Grandma (prior to her having to move out of her house).
Reason for Placement:: My Grandparents rescued Squirt when he was 10 years old, from his previous owner. They fell in love with him immediately. My Grandpa passed away and family moved in with my Grandma to assist with her Alzheimer's Disease. Eventually had to move her out of the house and Squirt, who was very bonded to her, and slept on her pillow at night, could not go with. A newlywed couple adopted Squirt and said he "completed their family." They were expecting at the time and after the baby was born, were heartbroken to find that baby is allergic to Squirt, so as we had kept in touch, they let us know. We took Squirt back and placed him in foster care with a friend of the family in January 2016 & may not be able to stay there much longer. We are having trouble finding him a new family and need help. I cannot imagine that loving Senior in a shelter. Please feel free to call Rebecca at (602) 615-9310 or email ebecca.hallman@gmail.com.
