Jade is a 7 yr old brown tabby Maine coon mix girl. Jade is very loving. She is beautiful and a wonderful pet. She loves A LOT of attention! loves to play with her cat dancer toy and chase her little foam nerf balls. She LOVES to be brushed and scratched behind her ears and the sides of her neck. She loves to play on the bed and try to grab moving toys under the blankets. She does not like her belly rubbed. She does not like to be held in your arms but will cuddle up on your chest or lap, or snuggle up against you on her terms. She took a while to warm up when she first came to us from the shelter and hid behind the couch.

She came from a hoarding situation and was on anxiety medication which we weaned her off of; then she just came out one day and loved on us since then. She scares easily by loud noises and small children and other cats and dogs. She loves her cat tree and loves to look out the windows. She is an indoor cat but will come out on the porch with us as long as the door is cracked open enough for her to run back inside.

We get her groomed and shaved 2 times a year. She does not like car rides. We have a special carrier/bin we made for her when we take her to the vet or groomer. since she is so difficult to place in a regular pet carrier. She has a sense of hiding when we have to take her to either place. Also, this is very important, that she is attracted to dryer fabric sheets and will eat them and vomit.

We are willing to give her new owners everything we have for her including the cat tree, cat bowls, litter/litter box, toys, brushes, and pet carrier.

She is the epitome of a wonderful pet and I am heartbroken that we need to find her a new home.
