Kittens!  As always, it's hard to get them to sit still for pictures.

Late last year we were contacted by a very kind lady who wanted us to take in three kittens who had been born to a pair of outside strays.  She had seen the mom and dad and thought that the kittens were part Maine Coon.  They became Ashina, Asher, and Ashanti.

This is Shina.  The only girl, and an intrepid explorer.  She loves to be petted, and loves, LOVES to play!   She’s the smallest of the group, but downright fierce!  She knows she’s the owner of the wand toy no matter what her brothers think. And she loves my computer cursor!

She’s not a lap cat yet.  There’s too much to see and do to settle down for long.  But she will lay right next to me for a bit before something catches her attention and she’s off!  And she will let you know where she is…very loudly!  She’s the loudest of the group and the most insistent that I instantly drop everything and run to see what she wants. 

Ashina can go home with either one or both of her brothers, or can go individually to a household that has another young cat.  Kittens need socialization with other cats to know how to get on.
