Declawing
Declawing a cat is cruel, unnecessary and risky.
- Cruel because it’s like cutting off your fingers below the first knuckle.
- Unnecessary because there are alternate techniques to control your cat’s scratching instinct, like supplying a scratching post or two, using a water filled squirt bottle to train your cat not to scratch your furniture.
- Risky because your cat’s personality will likely change for the worse. A lot of declawed cats stop using their litter box.
